Chapters within the CMNC Inc structure (there are two others; Great Lakes and Greater Taree) all carry a governance role in electing the three chapter representatives who constitute the Board of Management. These Directors then elect the Executive members of the Board and assign other tasks to Directors. Currently the positions of Treasurer and Minute Secretary are held by PMH Chapter rep's. In addition, Chapters have been assigned an active role in developing the Con's interaction with chapter area based Community Ensembles, as well as in the program areas of Workshop & Masterclass provision. This interaction and collaboration with the existing music community is a feature of the Conservatorium Mid North Coast (see our Mission Statement, Home page) and is consequently a vital responsibility of the chapters. Meetings of all PMH Chapter area members of the CMNC will be held from time to time to allow for direct involvement and input into the growth of CMNC. Moreover it is expected that at some time in 2011/12 the Board will seek to develop a "Friends of the Con" group within the chapter area. This FotC to complement those formed in the other chapter areas. Administration staff are currently based in Port Macquarie and Great Lakes with an office in the Mac Adams Music Centre, Port Macquarie, TAFE in Taree, and Tuncurry Hall in Great Lakes. |
