For Tutors

Accreditation of Tutors

The Conservatorium Mid North Coast is now offering accreditation for private music teachers under an Interim Accreditation Program. (Contact is Executive Officer Mr Michael Scott.)

It is the intention of this interim program to provide the general public and potential students with the assurance that all CMNC accredited music tutors have achieved a minimum level of competency of Grade 6 AMEB (or equivalent). The interim program offers a number of pathways to achieve accreditation.

All Accredited Tutors are required to follow the Code of Conduct for Accredited Music Tutors.

Accredited music tutors will be recorded on a public register to be made available to potential students within their areas. Individual tutors may promote themselves as being an "Accredited Conservatorium Mid North Coast Tutor" for their own publicity purposes. Please inspect the five pdfs attached at the base of this page.

Prospective tutors should complete the Application for Accreditation form which can be returned to the Executive Officer direct or via email. (see our 'Contacts' page.)

Pdf files with information relating to becoming an accredited Tutor are to be found at the base of this page.

Tutor Administrative Support (TAS) Program.

The Program

The CMNC is providing an administrative support service to tutors who wish to avail themselves of the service.
The details of services will be arranged with each Tutor individually subject to directions agreed by CMNC.
Tutors will continue to control their tutoring arrangements.

Benefits

Intrinsic

  • TAS program tutors will be a vital part of building this newest of NSW regional conservatoriums. They will make a critical and significant contribution to the funding of CMNC; and to do so at no cost to them.

Extrinsic.

  • TAS tutors will be freed of the bookkeeping side of their business, with CMNC able to advise who has paid and who is delinquent.
  • TAS tutors will be positioned to take first advantage of CMNC growth (which they will have helped ensure) and of any CMNC future ability to enhance TASP benefits.

Additionally:

  • TAS tutors are to be offered a position in any development program offered by CMNC at a 25% of any fee.
  • TAS tutors are to be offered tickets ( themselves & partner) to any concert of CMNC at 25% of the general admission.
